After years of throwing off the radar underground parties all over our beloved white isle and with a string of celebrated DJ spots under their belts at clubs like We Love, The Zoo Project, Carl Cox and Friends & Underground, The Rejekts are being let loose in one of the world’s best loved club spaces, The Terraza @ Space Ibiza (The lunatics take over the asylum may be a very good analogy)
We think the line up is Superb! So there ?! The emphasis is on fresh exciting talent and we’re well excited to have so many of our favourite artists together on the same bill and then to be able to surround them with some good friends and well respected peers.

To help bring our unique MADCHESTER vibe to Space, we have teamed up with the boys from Kaluki, who for years, have been throwing some of our favourite parties in and around Manchester, currently residing at the legendary Sankeys.

ARTISTS::
MOTOR CITY DRUM ENSEMBLE:
At the tender age of 6, Danilo Plessow`s path in music started with playing drums. With his engagement in a school bigband he found his love for jazz - and from 11 years old he started working on his own music using a computer and samples. Being influenced by Jazz, Soul, Funk, Hiphop and House music, the first results were still released 5 years later on Stuttgarts Pulver Records. Together with Joachim Tobias, Danilo formed the House and Broken Beat project ´Inverse Cinematics`:
Seven 12 inch Records, one LP,many remixes and compilation appearances followed.
The project was and still is a favourite of some of the worlds most influental leftfield djs such as Gilles Peterson, Rainer Trueby (with whom Danilo just started a collaboration), Michael Ruetten or Benji B. After several other collaborations and solo projects in the Nujazz vein (Hipster Wonkaz with P.Valentino for Ubiquity Records or solo as Aphro Pzyko for Raw Fusion), Danilo went back to his House music roots with the ´Motor City Drum Ensemble`.
Taking influences from soul, disco and detroit and chicago 90`s house, the new moniker soon became his best known: He released five 12 inch in 2008, and especially his ´RawCuts` series made him a shooting star in the deep house scene, highlighted by the internet house and techno bible ´Resident Advisor` for whom he did a mixtape that was soon regarded as one of the best mixes of this influential podcast.
In times when even big labels struggle to sell 500 copies, MCDE`S ´Raw Cuts` series, released on his own label ´MCDE` (run together with P. Valentino) sold a few thousands each, and his other own label ´Four Roses Recordings` has been doing very good as well. 2009 started with a 12 inch for one of UK`s biggest house labels, 20:20 Vision, and Danilo now hits the road on a regular again to show some of his dj skills, which have brought him all over Europe, the US and Russia already. In February, Beatport`s team of music experts has put him at the top of the up and coming Deep House artists worldwide for 2009. In 2010 we are proud to add him to the long list of world class artists to grace the decks at a Rejekt event.
MARKUS FIX:
Mention the labels Oslo, Cecille or Cocoon to any fan of underground house and techno and 9 times out of 10 you’ll get a more than positive reaction. Then mention Markus Fix and the reaction is usually elevated. Having built up a formidable reputation as a DJ and then a producer he is a name we have had our eye on for a good while.
Inspired by Kraftwerk, Yello and OFF, Markus Fix' interest in electronic sounds started at the tender age of 13, and soon after that, he visited the legendary club "Omen" in Frankfurt for the first time. He was so fascinated by the music that he started to spin himself and developed a unique style. Several years and many parties later, he founded together with some friends "Project 2000" and became resident DJ at the "Helium" bar in Frankfurt. Since then, his career rose quickly through the ranks and soon, he was playing at the main room of the "CocoonClub". At that time, he was already a guarantor for ambitious music beyond the mainstream. Meanwhile, Markus Fix has become a trendsetter himself: his releases on the partner labels "Cécille Records" and "Oslo" were top sellers and gained enthusiastic reviews worldwide. Also as a DJ, he belongs to the global players and elates both promoters as well as the public and leading to sets at world famous clubs like Fabric, Monza, Circo Loco, The Robert Johnson & Now Rejekt @ Space Ibiza :)
JOSE DE DIVINA:
One of Ibiza’s favourite son’s and one of Spain’s most successful underground DJs. Jose appears at parties all over the island as well as his celebrated Circo Loco residency.
Over the last six years Jose de Divina has become a world renown DJ, spinning at the best clubs accross Europe, USA, South America, Asia and South Africa. Divina’s history begins in Mallorca, where in 1991 he spins his first records and rapidly becomes an essential part of the island’s nightlife. It was in 1995 that his career really took off after arriving at the heart of the world’s best after hours and making it is his home: the terrace at Space. On top of his Sunday residency, doing the Carry On for Manumission was also a determining factor in his career. It was here he had the opportunity to spin alongside godfathers of House music such as Tenaglia, Roger S, Erick Morillo, MAW, amongst others. He was also resident at Amnesia for two years for Dance Valley and was a frequent guest at Pacha’s Scandal.
Jose de Divina has travelled across the globe’s most prestigious clubs: Home London, Queen Paris,Living Room Miami, Tunnel New York, Pacha Buenos Aires , to name a few. He has also travelled as part of the Space World Tour to Tokyo, Sao Paulo, Marruecos, Punta del Este, Finland, Switzerland, Germany and Australia. Jose de Divina’s sessions include top quality House music, experimenting with Tribal, Ethnic, Jazz, Funk, Deep and Tech House. His mixing skills come from the experience of being resident at one of the most sought after DJ booths. Divina is true symbol of the best Balearic sound! His ability to bond with his audience with a great sense of rhythm is evident in his sessions as well as his work in the studio. This emblematic DJ is also a talented producer, with various of his productions and remixes out on labels like Arcade Music, Maya and now his own Climatic Sound label.
IAIN TAYLOR:
The driving force behind Rejekt parties, Iain started his DJ career at the Legendary Manchester club “The Hacienda” in 1995 and after many more successful guest spots around Manchester started to promote nights in 1997. Skip to the modern day. Iain has held a 5 year residency at another world famous Manchester club, Sankeys and then moved on to run his own Rejekt Events and Record label. He has thrown semi legal, fully legal and downright illegal warehouse parties, villa parties and afterparties all over the globe, his productions have been played by a whole host of top DJs including the likes of Hawtin, Vath, Hell, Sasha, Digweed, Lawler (Steve), layo & Bushwacka, MANDY, MR C, Claude Von Stroke, Funk De Void, Tom Stephan, Stephan Bodzin, Hernan Cattenaeo, the list goes on and on. His broad minded approach towards music and his long and illustrious DJ career has seen him booked at clubs like Fabric, Space, Back to Basics, The Sub Club, Chibuku, Ministry Of Sound, Custard Factory, The Zoo Project, Mambo, Follies (Paris), Luxy (Taiwan) 06 (Osaka) Tango (Beijing), Dragon I (Hong Kong), Wonderbar (Jakarta), Bubblegum (Helsinki), Home, Family, Ambar, Zebra & The Metro (all in Australia), Abrakadabra & Sziget Festival (Budapest), Glastonbury & fieldtrip festivals and many more underground institutions worldwide. His Rejekt Music record label is set to release its 5th & 6th releases on the run up to the Ibiza season. Iain will be closing proceedings on the night. Worth sticking about for as he always prides himself on absolutely rocking dancefloors with an abstract and outside the box style of DJing.

A rising star on the Manchester scene who is now a regular fixture at Sankeys Soap and has also featured at The Zoo Project, Carl Cox & Friends & Moho in Ibiza. A keen ear for music backed up by flawless mixing and blending skills. Pete’s rolling house & techno sets have won him many an accolade from professionals and punters alike. We pride ourselves on booking only the best and Pete Zorba has more than earned his place on this line up.

One of our favourite nights in Manchester, Kaluki has an impeccable history for booking just the right mix of international superstars and hot up and coming talent. Names like illario Allicante, Robert Dietz, Hugo, Lauhaus & many more have all made their Manchester debut’s alongside stalwarts like Claude Von Stroke, Heidi, MANDY, Raresh, Timo Maas, Sascha Dive, Federico Molinari, Damian Schwartz to name a few.
Tonights line up is headed by Kaluki head honcho DJ Ellesse (MUM Music / Sankeys) alongside some of the UK’s hottest resident DJs.
All in all you have to admit! It makes for a pretty exciting party : )
