OVERLAPS is a new rock band from the Treviso/Pordenone area (North-Eastern Italy).
The unusual band-name stands for the interesting and energetic mixture of five profoundly different but complementary characters, where extremely heterogeneous elements and divergent influences magically converge into a catchy, powerful and multi-faceted rock sound, which is up-to-date and tradition-conscious at the same time.
The three brand new songs “Countdown”, “Dreams For Sale” and “On Monday”, produced by Fabio Trentini (Guano Apes, Stick Men, Donots, H-Blockx, The Intersphere…) showcase the enormous potential of the band and lay the first stone for the realization of their debut album, which is scheduled for release in 2016.

Komplexe Rhythmen, vereinnahmende Melodien und außergewöhnliche Sounds. Teils improvisiert, teils fest verankert. So müsste man die Musik von Whales wohl beschreiben.
Vier Musiker, die ihre Ideen sehr individuell umsetzen und sie dennoch immer zu einem großen, harmonischen Ganzen zusammenfügen.
Die Musik fordert den Zuhörer heraus und lässt ihn in ein musikalisches Erlebnis der anderen Art eintauchen.
