king fou
king fou gründete sich 2008 in graz. die idee des projektes ist es, verschiedene, folkloristisch und traditionell besetzte instrumente, auf unkonventionelle art mit einem rock-line-up zu verbinden. im zuge zahlreicher jamsessions erweiterte sich das repertoire der verwendeten instrumente kontinuierlich und verdichtete sich zu einem lebendigen musikalischen gemisch, welches wir nun in form frischer, abwechslungsreicher eigenkompositionen darbieten. während ihrer konzerte bedienen sie sich der vielfältigen kombinations-möglichkeiten unserer umfangreichen instrumentierung, bestehend aus xylophon, metallophon, hackbrett, e-gitarre, akustik gitarre, bass, trompete, didgeridoo, sowie melodika und nicht zuletzt der mittel der percussions mit darabouka, djemben und schlagzeug.

after several years of entering the basements of montpellier, distilling here and there their eclectic mixture of progressive rock, southern rock and experimental music, the early puppets have evolved. matured through out of uncontrolled improvisations and personal compositions. since 1854 this same passion brings them together, empowering their band: guitars, drums, keyboards and folkloric vocals from the "seabird land" ! the three group members, now active in montpellier (southern france) profit from their multiple experiences with former bands and side projects. that's why each one is influenced by various styles of music, which now are revisited and combined to another level. in one, a single ambition. to turn sound into rock 'n'roll!!
the puppets will please you with their presentation of their new record, produced in april 2009. fuckin' freakin' hot stuff!!!
